Abstract: The Spatiotemporal Data Analysis (SDA) research group at the Department of Computer Science, University of Helsinki, does research on Artificial Intelligence for providing accurate and reliable navigation and situational awareness for the development of sustainable smart cities. The spatiotemporal data, in this case, consist of Global Navigation Satellite Signals (GNSS), image and sensor data, and 5G signals. During my presentation, I will introduce some of our ongoing projects addressing the development of computer vision methods for autonomous cranes, cooperative pedestrian indoor navigation, analysis of intentional GNSS interference, and development of a tool for planning sustainable cities using traffic, air quality, and sosio-economic data.
